I do not have Jagex directly saying skillcapes caused botting

Literally nothing skillcapes that was joins was mentioned by you to real world trading and robots. None of those links addressing actual world trading mentions skillcapes. Hilarious and how your perception fails you still think you're right. They cite many thousand folks were getting banned for buying gold within months of Skillcapes' release. I was also 15 at 2007 (fellow'92er). When botting's explosion was obvious for everyone to see during 2007, why the RS gold hell would I keep a spreadsheet?

I do not have Jagex directly saying skillcapes caused botting, only that RS2 had been out for more than two years before Skillcapes came out and we did not have uncontrolled botting. However together being out F2P worlds were swamped within 6 weeks of Skillcapes and thousands were being banned every week for buying gold. Your aggressive tone with every reply whilst offering nothing is really shit btw.

Poster here. Correlation doesn't equal causation. There were heaps of different updates around those times as well, and selecting one and saying"this caused botting" doesn't make it evidence that it did. Bots increase based on ease of accessibility to computing, knowledge that Runescape is number of players generally, and one which can be botted for gain. Botting will constantly increase as the playerbase or popularity of Runescape increases, because there is more money. This increase was not alone caused by skillcapes.

I don't have a counterargument to your point. I just felt like saying that, while in theory that the debate that Runescape will be better with them might be correct, I personally would be interested in that game. Max cape and skillcapes would be the reason I created my 1 and OSRS accounts and they're the reason I continue to play Runescape. If a single mechanic in a match is the driving force behind my 3000+ hours in said game, it's difficult to take part in a thought experiment where it's removed. Just a few ideas.

To take it a step farther I even feel this way about achievement diaries. I like the https://www.rsgoldfast.com/ concept of players for getting a account. The giant mole is destroyed by the falador achievement journal. What needs to be a fun, mid level, low attempt boss be basically secured behind 70 prayer, 72 slayer, 56 runecrafting, and a shitton of mining in motherload mine that all have nothing to do with your skill to hit a major mole with a large axe.
