Education system in India: Education in India is provided by the public sector as well as private sector, with controlling and funding three levels of systems : central, state, andlocal. The Nalanda University was the eldest university-system of education in the world as well as in India. Western education became in-built into Indian society with the establishment of the British.Education system in India comes under the control of both the Union Government and theState Governments, with some responsibilities having with the Union and the state Governments. The constitutional rights of India have right to education as a fundamental right. India has made advancement in increasing the primary education growth rate and expanding literacy rate to almost three-quarters of the population. India's education system is frequently mentioned as one of the main contribution to the economic rise of India. Most of the progress, especially in higher education and scientific research areas, has been recognized to various public institutions. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC) total enrollment in Science and technology, Medicine, Agriculture and Engineering crossed 6.5 million in 2010.In the Hindustan Times gave a report (New Delhi, 10 January 2011) that the number of women choosing engineering has more than doubled since 2001.

In India educational system, a major number of seats are reserved under positive action policies for the historically disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (S C) and Scheduled Tribes(S T) and Other Backward Classes(B C). In universities/colleges/institutions affiliated under the central government there is a minimum 50% of reservations valid to these disadvantaged groups, at the state level governance it can change .However the education system in India was running very successfully without any disputes
